TransParent Trap

Ready for some color theory?  Here's my "Transparency Dress!"

The inspiration for this dress is the Josef Albers theory of Color Transparency.  Two "parent" colors look like they are transparent because of the middle-mixture block of color between them.

I designed this feather pattern, then *carefully* mixed the specific pigments. The colors had to be exactly right or the transparency illusion wouldn't work!

I silkscreen printed the pattern onto a white, jersey vintage dress, which I altered into a racerback top.

Touching-up an area by hand.
