Hello Holland!

In the spirit of the Olympics, I am so excited to announce that one of my dresses has gone international!

Esperanza Spalding performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland this month.
Here she is, looking so gorgeous in my "Transparency Dress!"

The Bridget Show

This is a picture of my senior show at the College for Creative Studies, the reason I started this blog in the first place!

Five underwater-inspired dresses made with recycled and eco-friendly materials

Here are a few more pictures of these dresses that I haven't put up yet.
They were taken by the fabulous Lindee Robinson at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.

Starstruck

Esperanza Spalding performed in my Garden Dress at her concert tonight!

Midland, Michigan

This is my first post from NYC!

The internship at Diane Von Furstenburg has been an amazing experience so far.
DVF even stopped by the studio today...not a bad way to end my first week!

Does This Dress Impress-ionst You?

This is another color theory dress I made showing "optical mixture:"

I was inspired by the "Impression Sunrise" painting by Claude Monet to create the batik fabric for this dress.

The Unsinkable Photo Shoot

Despite car accidents, food poisoning, and torrential rainstorms, today was the final photo shoot for my senior show at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House.  I was so incredibly blessed with the most amazing team of photographers, hair and makeup artists, and models that made this day *magically* happen.

Here's a sneak peak, but you'll have to wait for the show to see the final images!

You Jump, I Jump

I'm not leaping off the back of the ship but jumping for JOY because the second Titanic dress is done, just in time for the movie re-release this week!  There will be a lovely photo shoot for this dress in a couple weeks, but for now here are some studio pictures:

This dress is made out of kozo and a vintage dress that I disperse-dyed and rust-dyed.

Today begins the last month of school...and my last month as a CCS student ever.  Even though our time together is running out, my memories of the College for Creative Studies will be safe in my heart and
my heart will go on and onnnnn.

(Haha I had to throw that in there somewhere!)

Almost Famous

I recently had the most exciting opportunity of my life: designing a dress for Esperanza Spalding as an option to wear the Grammy Awards this year.  Unfortunately the dress wasn't worn, but she may wear it on her tour this summer! Yay!

Inn Style

Here's a little preview of my latest dress!  More pictures to come, I just couldn't wait to share this picture taken at the Ferry Street Inn in Detroit by the lovely Lindee Robinson.  The awesome hair was done by Stein McGee and beautiful makeup by Camille LaMontagne.   Thanks to everyone!

Now I'm working on the fourth dress for my show. I'm going to be experimenting with dying fabric with rusty metal this weekend, so cool!

The Belle Isle Aquarium was open to the public today for the Shiver on the River event, and I got to display two of my dresses in an empty tank!

Peacock Room Photoshoot

Lindee Robinson took these pictures of three of my dresses at the Peacock Room, a new boutique in the Park Shelton building in Detroit.  This was such a fun shoot!
