Shopping Success!

I'm finally starting my dresses for my show!  I'm going to be re-purposing old dresses to create completely new ones.  My friend Lakea and I spent all Satuday shopping, and I found these three vintage dresses at Mother Fletcher's in Ferndale...my new favorite store!  It's like walking into the biggest, most magical closet full of dresses in every color! Here's what I bought:

I'm so excited to start sewing and dying, I'll be putting up pictures of my progress!

Ready, Cor-Set, Go!

I currently have a internship with Ivy's Custom Corsetry, where I help sew custom corsets and garments for customers and events.  Here are a couple of corsets I've made recently!  The first is a lace waist-cinching corset and the second is an under-bust corset.

Sketchy

Drawing is a huge part of my process of designing.
This is one of my sketches that turned into a finished product!

I was inspired by fairy tales and delphinium flowers to create this girly ensemble.
The fabric is hand-dyed and batiked.  Here is the final dress and steel-boned corset! Can you handle the cuteness?
